Common Pests

At Vine Pest Control we tackle a wide range of pests.

We are dedicated to ensuring our methods and procedures are discreet and work around your home or busy businesses schedule, never forgetting that our clients safety and satisfation is paramount.

The common brown rat is a serious health and safety hazard. They frequent wherever food is plentiful and are attracted to buildings whether they are on a farm, homes and restaurants, or in shopping complexes.

Early response to the problem combined with an ongoing programme of rat pest control is the best approach as over the counter remedies usually prove insufficient.
Although much smaller than rats and less intelligent and resourceful, mice pose a significant health hazard, particularly where food is prepared or consumed.

Like rats mice breed rapidly if left unchecked. Timely pest control of mice is critical if an infestation is suspected.
Wasps are generally beneficial insects but when in close proximity to properties they can become harmful or even dangerous pests.

Wasp nests should only be treated by an experienced pest controller. If you have a wasp problem seek professional help at the earliest opportunity. We will find any nests and destroy them permanently to eradicate the problem.
By and large, ants live outside but they can easily become a pest as they forage indoors or wherever there is food to be found. Flying ants, which are the breeding versions of the insects, can be a distressing nuisance, particular in restaurants and leisure areas.

Ants are controlled by locating and destroying their nests, which often are most noticeable at the flying ant stage.
Like a lot of flying insects that are attracted to human food the common fly is a health and hygiene problem in food preparation areas.

Cluster flies are often a problem in houses during the autumn and spring when thousands of them can congregate in attics, roofspaces, and sheds. From there they often gain entry into houses. They are a real pest because of their numbers.
Fleas are mainly brought in by pets and can quickly become a pest. Treating flea infestations involves eradicating the insect in all the stages of its development. The eggs and larvae can often be found in the rooms frequented by the affected pets, in carpets or soft furnishings.

Left untreated the infestation will affect the health of both pets and owners.
